Walking down James Street and around the corner into Connor Street was mine and Joan’s first experience of real estate agencies in Burleigh Heads.  We had flown up from Melbourne for a wedding and a family funeral, so we took the time out in between to explore the idea of living on the Gold Coast.  Gazing into the windows of Ray Whites seemed to be a pass time for the locals, so we too were attracted to the large display windows. It was there that we first met Costa Bousgas.  Costa was a salesman with Ray White and quickly drew our attention to the many homes and units on sale in the surrounding district. What took our eye was a unit in Stephen Street, very close to the centre of town and a short walking distance to just about everything. Costa arranged an inspection and we quickly hit on the idea of living on the coast permanently.
